NL59 Beat Team Monthly Newsletter
Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the NL59 Beat Team Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
This week has seen the annual Glastonbudget Festival, where all the beat team have contributed to keeping everyone safe and happy during the very hot festival!
– PCSO 6031 Charlie
-We have received reports of ASB including the misuse of e-bikes, and groups throwing eggs, kicking doors and damaging vehicles. -Burglaries remains a priority for the beat team and we will be looking to reduce this with the high visibility patrols within targeted areas. -There has been a slight increase in theft from motor vehicles within the NL59 area towards the end of 2025. The beat team will be looking to reduce these with the use of high visibility patrols in targeted areas. We will look to liaise with the community in those affected areas to provide crime prevention advice and discuss security measures.
-Work with partnering agencies to tackle reported Anti Social Behavior in the village and local parks. Those identified will be given warnings about their behavior using an incremental approach. Conduct extra patrols in the area and identify offenders with a view of seizing the bikes that are causing the issues. Increase in Patrols in the evening and deployment of ASB car to target the persons involved. -We will carry out high visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas to deter offenders and offer reassurance to the community. Officers will engage with victims and nearby residents to provide crime prevention advice and discuss suitable security measures. We will work alongside partner agencies and local groups to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen home security across the area. Targeted enquiries and intelligence led activities will be conducted to identify suspects and disrupt burglary related offending. -We will continue targeted patrols in the hotspot locations to deter further offences and identify those involved. Officers will engage with local residents to provide practical prevention advice and support measures to reduce opportunities for theft from motor vehicles. We will also work with partner agencies to address any recurring issues and implement longer term solutions to help reduce vehicle related crime in the area.
